Visiting Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao called on Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa Sunday morning at the President's House.

Sources close to the meeting said they discussed several issues relating to the resettlement of the internally displaced persons (IDPs).

Sources in Colombo said they also had discussion on the subject on finding a political solution to the ethnic question.

Indian High Commissioner in Colombo Mr. Ashok K. Kantha, President’s Secretary Mr. Lalith Weeratunga and Foreign Secretary Mr. Romesh Jayasinghe were also present in the discussion.
